New Harddrives

Storage technology is advancing rapidly. Faster and larger harddrives are becoming available for less money. You can take advantage of this by upgrading your existing HDD with a hybrid drive or a solid state drive (SSD).

New PC Memory

If you saved money when purchasing your laptop or desktop PC the odds are that you don't have the maximum available memory in your computer. In many cases your memory could be doubled which can improve your computer's performance. You can check your installed memory by opening Control Panel, Click "System and Security" and then on "System". You can then check on your manufacturer website or on crucial.com for the maximum memory allowed. You can also buy a memory upgrade there and install it yourself but beware of static electricity from your hands damaging computer components. Call 065 6810010 if you need some help.

Damaged harddrives

A dropped laptop can cause damage to your harddrive even if your computer looks fine. The discs inside your harddrive are easily damaged if they are spinning when the laptop is dropped. Telltale signs for damaged harddrives include slow computer performance as the drive is struggling to read the discs and your laptop being noisier than usual, possibly even a scraping/screeching sound with the disc getting further damage. If this is the case you may need to recover your data from your harddrive as soon as possible and have it replaced.
